5 Twilight Wigs That Slay and 5 That Suck
2. Sucks – Jacob in Twilight
When we first meet Jacob in Twilight, he is an awkward 15 year old with a not-so-secret crush on Bella. He turns up a few times throughout the film, most often to deliver some vampire/werewolf lore, but he doesn’t seem to be a love interest for Bella in this film – which is probably why his wig is not so hot.
His hair parts in the middle, and the top of his hair sits very flat to his head. It gives the appearance of being a little bit greasy, which is maybe the look they were going for given that he is a teenage boy, but when this is a character who eventually does become a love interest for Bella, it is difficult to picture such a relationship when his wig is so bad.
This is not to say that the long hair on Jacob is not cute (as we will come to discuss), just that this particular wig is not the one.

2. Slays – Jacob in New Moon
In New Moon, Jacob is almost a completely different character. He and Bella develop their friendship in this film, with Jacob being there for her when Edward isn’t.
Jacob only has long hair for the first half of this movie – before he cuts it all off when he goes through ‘the change’ – but for the short time that we get to enjoy this wig, it really is magical.
The waxy, plastered-to-his-head look of the Twilight wig is no more, now that the New Moon wig is in town. This looks more like real hair, with waves and gentle wisps that frame his face.
Some fans have criticised this wig for changing Jacob’s hairline in every other scene, but the overall image of the long hair is “sort of beautiful,” in Bella’s words. This long hair represents kindness and warmth, a best friend when Bella felt most alone. And most iconic of all, it is the wig featured in the “where the hell have you been, loca?” scene.
