5 Twilight Wigs That Slay and 5 That Suck
4. Sucks – Carlisle in New Moon
This is a crime against wigs.
In Twilight, Peter Facinelli fashioned his real hair for the role of Carlisle, the patriarch of the Cullen family. However, having to bleach his hair for the look was damaging, so to save the health of his hair he switched to wigs for the remaining films.
It is in New Moon that Carlisle patches up Bella’s arm after she is injured at her birthday party – an iconic Twilight scene that caused many fans to swoon over the character, and to observe sexual tension in a moment where there shouldn’t be any.
The sex appeal is, however, soured by Carlisle’s straw-like wig…
It looks as if it is 50% synthetic hair, 50% hairspray. The attractiveness of this character is detracted by his super scratchy-looking crow’s nest.

4. Slays – Alice in Breaking Dawn – Part 1
Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011) features every girl’s dream wedding. The classic dress, the forest setting, the beautiful decorations – all of which were selected and organised by Alice Cullen, the self-proclaimed fashionista of the Cullen family.
But all of Alice’s talents were not spent solely on the wedding; she also turns up looking absolutely stunning, her short hair gently waved across her brow and then curling under her cheekbones.
Ashley Greene did not once use her natural hair in Twilight – she has a different wig for each movie, and they are all wildly different. According to Twilight lore, a vampire should not be able to change their hair that much, because once they are transformed they lose the ability to grow their hair. One popular theory amongst fans is that the Cullens are all bald, and that the characters really do wear wigs, explaining why Alice was rocking a different hairdo for each movie.
