10 Best BD Wong Jurassic Park Moments
5. Monster Is a Relative Term
Simon Masrani (Irrfan Khan) is berating Henry, who seems completely unaffected by the deaths his actions have caused. “That’s unfortunate”, he says blankly. Henry is happy to shift all blame onto Masrani himself, chiding him for asking for cooler dinosaurs no matter the cost.
Jurassic World is a less subtle beast than Jurassic Park. And Jurassic Park isn’t subtle. It likes to spell its messages out. And here it is… humans created a monster, but they only don’t like it because it has knocked them off the top of the food chain.
Oh God, are humans the monsters?
4. The InGen Helicopter
In the first three films there are experts everywhere. But as the Jurassic World universe takes over, the people in charge are marketing executives, ex-navy personnel, and a vet. Wu becomes the face of experts and science, so it is a shame he is so fundamentally flawed.
Up until this point in Jurassic World, Henry’s more sinister side has been well masked, but this is the proof we needed that he’s one of the bad guys too. Whether he’s in over his head, or whether he masterminded the whole thing, is up to us. It’s still a shock to see him in cahoots with the bolshy Hoskins.
This is the first clue that the good doctor might be motivated by something other than the pursuit of science. Is it money, is it a fiendish plan to rule the world? We’ll never know. But it does appear that Henry Wu can be bought.
This tiny clip also lets us know that disaster is waiting in the wings, ready for the next movie. It’s a shame he never listens, because transporting embryos doesn’t usually end well… just ask Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight).

3. He’s Back Baby
His first appearance in Jurassic World is exciting. He’s older, smarter, more confident. He knows he’s in these films for more than three minutes. He’s the proud creator of the Indominus rex. He’s learnt absolutely nothing. He’s still splicing and dicing, and he looks very smug about it.
Though nothing much is given away about the new framing of his character at this point, it is an exciting moment, included for fans of the original film – up there with Zach (Nick Robinson) and Gray (Ty Simpkins) restarting the 1993 jeep, then using the banner from the final scene of Jurassic Park to light their torch. You know, because it has been passed.
The inclusion of Henry’s character is a good bridge between the two worlds and connects fans of the original to this new story.
