Golden Globes 2024 – Film Winners List

Christopher Nolan’s atom bomb blockbuster Oppenheimer was the big winner of the 81st Golden Globe Awards (2024), earning wins in the Best Director, Best Film Actor (Drama), Best Supporting Actor, Best Score and Best Film (Drama) categories.

The monumental summer release, which earned $952million at the global box office, dominated what many considered to be a highly competitive field, earning the early awards season title of Film of the Year.

The ceremony, hosted by comedian Jo Koy, was presented live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California and broadcast on CBS in the United States and via Paramount+ worldwide. Koy’s hosting duties were not well received, with many of the stars in attendance looking openly dismayed at his opening monologue and beyond.

Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things earned wins over Barbie in the Best Film (Comedy or Musical) and Best Film Actress (Comedy of Musical) categories, with Greta Gerwig’s existential Mattel box office hit having to settle for Best Song and the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award.
