10 Best Jingle All the Way Moments
5. The Soft Play
Arnie is well known for action movies so it makes sense that he should be involved in some high-stake folly. For 8-year-olds, there is simply nothing better than watching adults act like children.
Howard and Myron scrabbling around on the floor, getting bitten by middle class mothers (a major plot hole, as we all know that 90s movie folklore states only dads panic shop on Xmas eve), tasing each other in the eyes, and basically causing a scene, is precisely that.
The descent of Howard in a comically slow lift while raucous Nutcracker music blares is a particular highlight.
4. Costume Change
Myron steals the Dementor costume and kidnaps Jamie. So far, so festive. This does seem to be the natural progression for a man who began the film choking a woman peacefully queuing next to him, and who tried to set off two bombs in as many minutes.
Of course, Myron could have simply kidnapped Jamie without beating up an actor, but where’s the spectacle in that?
It’s hard to fathom how big the budget is for this Winterville parade because both the Dementor and TurboMan costumes come with working weapons and the ability to fly. But it does make for quite the show.

3. Myron’s Christmas Bomb(s)
After an ungraceful fight in a phone booth and a completely unnecessary two-block run, Myron has lost it. He threatens a radio station with a bomb, seemingly his last resort to get a TurboMan. Thankfully, it turns out to just be a music box.
It does not take long before he tries the same trick again, this time in an attempt to get away from the police. But the box he is waving about does indeed have an explosive device inside. Its explosion is strong enough to shake a skyscraper, but don’t worry… the only damage caused is a sooty police chief.
