New Sally Potter Film Adds Bardem, Fanning, Rock and More

According to Variety, production has already begun in Spain for the next film from The Party (2017/18) director Sally Potter, with several huge names confirmed to be starring in the feature.

Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men; Skyfall; Mother!) leads the host of names attached to star in the untitled project, with Elle Fanning, Laura Linney, Salma Hayek and Chris Rock set to join him.

Bardem will play the father of Elle Fanning in what is being described as a chronicle of a day in the life of a man on the edge, with Hayek playing his spouse.

Bleecker Street will distribute the film in the US, while HanWay Films will handle international sales starting at the Berlinale in 2019.

Christopher Sheppard, whose work includes multiple collaborations with Potter on the likes of The Party, will produce the project that was developed in the early stages by BBC Films and the British Film Institute.

Little else is known about the film at this time, though it is due to film in New York, USA from January.
