The Film Magazine is currently searching for film journalists to offer reviews, features and list articles to our website www.thefilmagazine.com.
This non-contracted contributor role requires a passionate candidate who is able to commit to contributing at least one high quality article per month.
The ideal candidate is a person who is able to offer informative and/or entertaining content through written articles such as reviews, features and lists in accordance with the quality of The Film Magazine’s regular output.
The most important attribute potential candidates must hold is a passion and dedication for cinema; we want someone who can go about their work professionally, politely respond to guidance, and most of all become a part of our team.
Ideally, we would like all candidates to offer evidence of some experience with film criticism (whether that be for a published magazine, online publication, blog, student magazine or assignment) via links or image attachments, though attaching an example article written especially for the application email would suffice.

- examples of your work (links are acceptable)
- an outline of how often you would like to contribute
- several ideas for your first article
- a list of your 5 favourite films (just for fun)
Please note: due to The Film Magazine being a not-for-profit ever-growing brand at this moment in time, we are unable to pay for any services, but we do offer references for job applications, promotion of your personal/professional social media accounts and feedback from an experienced editor, as outlined on our Vacancies page).
