Shia LaBeouf War Thriller Sells Only One Ticket in the UK

‘Man Down’, the latest movie to star Shia LaBeouf, earned only £7 in its opening weekend in the UK.

The Dito Montiel war-thriller also starring Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad), Gary Oldman and Kate Mara (Fantastic Four – 2015), was available to view in only one cinema in the country – Reel Cinema, Burnley – and outdid the famously low-grossing Emma Watson movie ‘The Colony’ that opened with only £47.

Given the average price of a UK admission ticket comes to £7.20, the £7 this picture made at the box office equates to only one ticket sale, something ComScore’s senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian described as an “opening [that] could be in the Guinness World Records or something”.

‘Man Down’ is scheduled to be released on DVD & Blu-Ray in May.
