Sam Shepard Has Passed Away

Sam Shepard, the Oscar nominated star of The Right Stuff (1983), passed away on Thursday July 27th 2017 aged 73 following complications regarding his ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) condition.

The star of many a critically acclaimed movie, such as Days of Heaven (1978) and Black Hawk Down (2001), Shepard’s most recent on-screen appearance came in Netflix’s ‘Bloodline’, and his death has been met by an outpouring of respect and appreciation for the work he contributed to film, television and theatre throughout his career.

Shepard was a multi-dimensional talent whose work on the stage earned the artist a Pulitzer Prize in 1979 for his play “Buried Child”.

He is survived by three children.
