‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘The Inhumans’ star Iwan Rheon and ‘The Punisher’ actor Daniel Webber have today (22nd January 2018) been revealed to be in advanced talks to play Motley Crue’s Mick Mars and Vince Neil respectively in a biopic about the band.
The duo will join The Riot Club and Jupiter Ascending actor Douglas Booth, who is set to play Nikki Sixx, and rapper Machine Gun Kelly, who will play drummer Tommy Lee, in the movie based on the best-selling autobiography co-authored by the famous rock ‘n’ roll hair band and Neil Strauss.
Jackass director Jeff Tremaine will direct the movie which has been written for the screen by Rich Wilkes (XXX), Tom Kapinos (‘Californication’, ‘Lucifer’) and Tremaine’s Bad Grandpa assistant Amanda Adelson.
The book tells of the band’s rise from the streets of Hollywood to worldwide fame, and has a no-holds-barred approach to their battles with addiction and the limelight. The band members will all act as producers on the film alongside Allen Kovac, Erik Olsen and Julie Yorn. Steven Kline, Chris Nilsson and Rick Yorn will act as executive producers.
The film, which will be titled The Dirt, has been a long-gestating project that seems to finally be getting off the ground with Netflix after a 15 year waiting period.
