BAFTA nominated actor Jude Law, who is set to play Albus Dumbledore in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts sequel, is in talks to join Brie Larson (Room) on the cast of upcoming Marvel film, Captain Marvel.
Should Law join the cast of the upcoming movie, it will make the actor the fourth major name to join the picture following the announcement of Brie Larson as the titular superhero, Rogue One – A Star Wars Story star Ben Mandelsohn as the villain, and Samuel L. Jackson as a two-eyed Nick Fury. Fury will have both of his eyes as the film will be set in the 1990s.
Captain Marvel, which is the first female fronted superhero film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be directed by Mississippi Grind directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, with Tomb Raider writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet writing the script.
It is currently unknown which role Law will play.
The film is set for release on 8th March 2019.
