The much talked about reboot of the Hellboy comic-book movie franchise at Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment has been given a release date: January 11th 2019.
The movie, which is set to star ‘Stranger Things’ actor David Harbour in the lead role, will be directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent – 2005) and work from a script by “Hellboy” creator Mike Mignola, video game screenwriter Christopher Golden and TV scribe Andrew Cosby.
Harbour will head up a cast that includes Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane and Daniel Dae Kim (who was cast in the movie following the exit of Ed Skrein) in an adventure that sees Hellboy head to England where he must defeat Merlin’s consort and Nimue the Blood Queen (Jovovich).
Lionsgate also revealed that James Franco’s upcoming crime thriller follow-up to The Disaster Artist will be released on August 31st 2018. The picture will be titled Kin.
