Guadagnino to Adapt Dylan’s ‘Blood On the Tracks’

Italian director Luca Guadagnino is to follow up his Oscar-winning summer romance Call Me By Your Name and upcoming horror remake Suspiria with a silver screen adaptation of Bob Dylan’s famous 1975 album ‘Blood On the Tracks’.

The Oscar-nominated director is re-teaming with RT Features for the film, with the screenplay being put together by Freedom WritersP.S. I Love You and Unbroken screenwriter Richard LaGravenese, who was nominated for an Oscar in 1992 for The Fisher King (1991).

‘Blood On the Tracks’ was Dylan’s 15th studio album and is considered among his best. Rolling Stone ranked it as the 16th greatest album in history.

It is currently unknown which elements of the album will be explored in the upcoming movie, though it has been revealed by Deadline that Guadagnino is also producing the film alongside RT’s Rodrigo Teixeira. Sophie Mas and Lourenço Sant’ Anna will executive produce on behalf of RT, with Marco Marobito also acting as an executive producer.

There is currently no release date for this film.
