Donald Glover To Lead ‘Lion King’
Disney’s live-action The Lion King will be headlined by Donald Glover and James Earl Jones it has been announced.
Jon Favreau, the director who helmed Disney’s first live-action remake venture ‘The Jungle Book’ and is set to direct the yet-to-be-slated ‘The Lion King’, announced via Twitter that Golden Globe and Grammy winning writer, director, musician and actor Donald Glover will be taking on the role of Simba.

Favreau announced the news that James Earl Jones would be reclaiming his role as Mufasa only moments later:

Little is known regarding the filming or release schedule for the film at this time, though it is expected to be one of Disney’s central projects to their library of CG remakes.
