Comcast Completes Dreamworks Animation Purchase

Comcast Corp. have completed their purchase of Dreamworks Animation for a reported $3.8billion.

The purchase puts Dreamworks Animation into the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group which currently includes NBCUniversal, Fandango and Universal Pictures.

The business move means that each shareholder will receive a reported $41 per share and the company will no longer be publicly traded.

It is expected that the relationship between Dreamworks Animation and Twentieth Century Fox, the company of whom has handled each animated release since 2013, will cease to exist per the agreement Comcast have come to.
