Colin Farrell To Join ‘Beguiled’ Remake
Variety are reporting that Lobster and In Bruges star Colin Farrell is in talks with Focus Features over a role in Sofia Coppola’s remake of 1971’s Clint Eastwood starring movie The Beguiled.

The Civil War drama already has Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman on board. If Farrell agrees to a deal, he will take the role Eastwood played in the first film.
Sofia Coppola is writing and directing the movie that will be an adaptation of the Thomas Cullinan novel that was the basis for the Don Siegel movie of the same name, and she will be partnering with producer Youree Henley for the second consecutive time following their success with the Emma Watson starring The Bling Ring from 2013.
IMDB describes the plot of The Beguiled as the following: While imprisoned in a Confederate girls boarding school, a Union soldier cons his way into each of the lonely women’s hearts.
