Staff Writer

I’m a fiction writer who lives for stories whether they’re on the page or the screen. I love clever comedy and quirky dramas, even better if they include a shark.
Proudest film moment: Danny Leigh praising my review of Martha Marcy May Marlene.
Most shame-faced film moment: crying at Snakes on a Plane (it all got a bit much for me).

Stories help us navigate the world we live in. From offering a safe space to process fear or sadness, to the pure joy of humour and escapism. Cinema can open our eyes to new worlds, new characters and ideas. Whether it is a worthy drama, a guilty pleasure, or fantasy of the most outrageous order, there is so much to gain from a love of film.
