Coen Brothers To Write & Direct ‘Black Money’ Adaptation

Joel and Ethan Coen have signed with Warner Bros to adapt “Black Money”, a Ross MacDonald novel first released in 1966, for the big screen.

Black Money’s plot centers on a character named Lew Archer whose investigation of an affair brings more than he might expect from his subject, with huge gambling debts and links to a suicide becoming the center of the investigator’s attention.

The Coen Brothers’ next movie is set to be released in February of 2016 and will star Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson. The movie, also starring Tilda Swinton and Jonah Hill, is called “Hail, Ceasar!” and will follow the life of a ‘Hollywood Fixer’ in the 1950s.
